league tables
The final league tables are now available following the 11th and last event promoted by Crabwood CC on 26th December.
Full league tables are available HERE in pdf format and HERE in Excel spreadsheet format.
Senior League
Mike Cotty (Wheelbase-Canondale) claimed the Senior title with brother James Cotty (Wheelbase- Canondale) improving throughout the season to eventually finish 2nd. Mike and James, together with Richard Scholfield claimed the team prize but were pushed all the way by Cotswold Veldrijden. 3rd place was close fought with Chris Minter (Pedal-On) just doing enough for the 3rd spot over Richard Lewis (CC Basingstoke) and Aaron Tayler (Cotswold Veldrijden).
Under 23 Champion
Fraser Macdonald (Cotswold Veldrijden) did enough to take the Under 23 title just a few points ahead of Andrew Hargroves (Hargroves Cycles).
Veteran/Junior/Women League
Mike Simpson (GS Henley) has had a strong and consistent season and is rewarded with 1st place in the combined Vets/Jun/Women table. Sean Williams (Wight Link) was always in contention but has to settle for 2nd place. Will Girvan (North Hants RC) finished 3rd.
In the V50+ category David Philips (Cotswold Veldrijden) finished in top spot and well clear of any rivals. David also finished 6th overall, and was part of the winning team together with David Hobbs and Peter Scott.
David McMullen (GWR Team) finished first V60+.
Women’s League
Women’s Champion is Tamina Oliver (Hargroves Cycles) with a 100% win record over all the other Women in the League. Tamina has had a fantastic season and has dominated throughout despite the best efforts of Sarah Woods (Wightlink/Offshore RT) and Claire Smith (Cotswold Veldrijden).
Youth League
Chris Rothwell (Swindon RC) clinched the Youths title with a win at Crabwood and had a comfortable margin over Edward Gronbech (Oxford City RC) and Jack Saunders (Swindon RC). These three riders have been close to each other throughout the season but Chris has always just had the edge in their head-to-head encounters.
Zoe Sheehan (Swindon RC) finished the first Youth women ahead of team mates Ciara Hutchinson (Swindon RC) and Rihanna Jones (Swindon RC).
Under 12 League
The Under 12s title was possibly the most tightly contested with the final outcome not decided until the last event at Crabwood where Angus Hawkins (Palmer Park Velo) beat team mate Jay Allen (Palmer Park Velo) and in doing so claimed the top position in the league by just 3 points. Alderney Baker (Southdown Velo/Hunter Springs Consultancy) was the leading Under 12 female rider and also finished an excellent 5th overall.
