Course Information:

The race circuit is approximately 3km in length and is mostly on flattish parkland and grass with some short sections on woodland trails. Predominantly flat but with a couple of steep banks which are rideable in the dry (a bit trickier if wet!). There is usually a double plank obstacle in the circuit, otherwise the course tends to firm and rideable. A popular course and good for spectators as the start/finish/sign-on area is located in the centre of the park giving good views of the course.

 

Parking:

Access is via Hook Street and vehicles can park on the grass events field, where the start/finish/sign-on is located. Follow directions and signs. Public car parking (pay meter) is also available at two locations in the park but race participants can park on the events field without charge.

 

Refreshments:

Drinks, cakes and snacks will be on sale during the day on a donation basis.

 

Toilets/Showers/Changing Facilities:

Lydiard Park has toilets and changing facilities next to the Visitors Centre and childrens Play Areas.

 

Other Facilities:

Lydiard Park also has a large play area for children, a Jungle Parc  Tree Climbing centre, and a Visitors centre selling snacks, drinks, sandwiches, ice-creams, etc.
